APUD-0833S

Aqueous Polyurethane Dispersion (APUD-0833S)

Description

Anionic aliphatic polyurethane dispersion in water, formulated for a low heat-activation temperature and fast crystallization. Bonds well to most natural and synthetic substrates, and can be reinforced with a water-dispersible polyisocyanate hardener for greater bonding strength and heat and hydrolysis resistance. Dilute only with deionized water — tap water can cause flocculation or premature demulsification. Gives excellent initial tack. Once mixed with an isocyanate hardener, use within four hours and do not return unused mix to the original container. Storing below 5°C causes an irreversible rise in viscosity, so keep the product between 5°C and 35°C, shielded from direct sunlight, and filter before use — a skin or gel can form during transport and storage.
