Silanes
Coupling agents, crosslinkers and adhesion promoters.
Functional Silanes
Functional silanes are organosilicon compounds with two reactive groups — one that bonds to inorganic substrates (glass, minerals, metals) and one that reacts with organic polymers. Our broad portfolio covers alkoxy, amino, epoxy, fluoro, isocyanate, methacryloxy, mercapto, phenyl, ureido, and vinyl functional groups.
Silane Crosslinkers
Silane crosslinkers are bifunctional molecules that bridge the gap between organic polymers and inorganic substrates. Our comprehensive portfolio includes acetoxy, alkoxy, and oxime functional silanes designed to improve adhesion, enhance durability, and enable advanced material formulations across diverse industries.
Specialty Silanes
Specialty silanes are neither coupling agents nor crosslinkers — ACSIC-formulated oligomers, and silicon reagents used in silylation, surface treatment and synthesis.
Subcategories
Alkoxy Silanes
Methoxy and ethoxy silanes, covering both roles this chemistry serves. As coupling agents they promote adhesion between organic polymers and inorganic surfaces. As neutral-cure crosslinkers they release alcohol rather than acid, which suits electronics, natural stone and sensitive metals, and are normally formulated together with an amino silane adhesion promoter. The same chemistry serves as a masonry water repellent and as a silica precursor in sol-gel and foundry binder systems.
View products →Oxime Silanes
Neutral-cure crosslinkers for one-component RTV silicone sealants. They release a ketoxime on cure, which allows them to be used on concrete, marble and metals sensitive to acid. Supplied with methyl ethyl, methyl isobutyl and acetoxime leaving groups, and as MOS/TOS and VOS/TOS blends for tuning cure speed and modulus.
View products →Amino Silanes
Amino-functionalized silanes for epoxy resins, polyurethanes and polyesters.
View products →Phenyl Silanes
Phenyl-substituted silanes and siloxane intermediates used to build silicone resins. Phenyl substitution raises refractive index, thermal stability and glass transition, which is what optically clear LED encapsulants and high-temperature silicone coatings are built from.
View products →Isocyanate Silanes
Isocyanate-functionalized silanes for polyurethane systems.
View products →Acetoxy Silanes
Acetoxy crosslinkers for one-component condensation-cure silicone sealants. They cure on exposure to atmospheric moisture and release acetic acid. Used in general-purpose construction sealants, sanitary and glazing formulations, and glass and ceramic bonding.
View products →Epoxy Silanes
Epoxy-functionalized silanes for thermoset composites and adhesives.
View products →Fluoro Silanes
Fluorinated silanes for water and oil repellency applications.
View products →Acryloxy & Methacryloxy Silanes
Acrylate- and methacrylate-functionalized silanes that copolymerize into acrylic and UV-curable systems while anchoring the resin to an inorganic substrate.
View products →Chloro Silanes
Chloroalkyl silanes, used mainly as synthesis intermediates — the chlorine is displaced to build amino, mercapto, azido and quaternary ammonium silanes. They also serve as coupling agents in specialty systems.
View products →Vinyl Silanes
Vinyl silanes graft onto polyolefins in the presence of peroxide, which is the basis of silane-crosslinked polyethylene for cable insulation and pressure pipe. The same grades treat mineral fillers for peroxide-cured compounds and size glass fiber for composites.
View products →Silylating Agents
Reagents that install trimethylsilyl and related silyl groups on hydroxyl and other active-hydrogen sites, releasing ammonia or a halide rather than forming a network. Used to render fumed silica and mineral fillers hydrophobic, to prime surfaces in semiconductor lithography, and as protecting-group chemistry in organic synthesis.
View products →Mercapto Silanes
Thiol-functionalized silanes for polysulfide sealants and rubber compounding.
View products →Ureido Silanes
The urea group provides nitrogen reactivity without the basicity of an amino silane, so it does not pre-advance phenolic, melamine or urea resins and does not yellow on aging. Used in foundry sand binders, glass fiber sizing and waterborne primers.
View products →Isopropenoxy Silanes
Deacetone crosslinkers that release acetone on cure instead of acetic acid or ketoxime — no acid odor, no metal corrosion and none of the discoloration issues associated with oxime cure systems.
View products →Specialty — ACSIC Proprietary
Oligomeric silanes formulated by ACSIC, built to a higher molecular weight than the equivalent monomer. Oligomerization packs more reactive groups into each molecule while cutting the volatile released on cure.
View products →Silane Intermediates
Reactive silicon compounds that function neither as coupling agents nor as crosslinkers: silylating reagents used to treat surfaces and protect functional groups in synthesis, and cure catalysts for silane-terminated systems.
View products →Catalysts
Products whose role is to accelerate or initiate a reaction rather than to become part of the cured network. Covers tin-free cure acceleration for silane-terminated sealants and supported chromium catalysts for ethylene polymerization.
