Diphenyldiethoxysilane

Phenyl functional silane / siloxane intermediate. Phenyl substitution raises the refractive index, thermal stability and glass transition of the resulting silicone resin, which is why these building blocks are used to make optically clear, high-temperature silicone systems. Difunctional, two phenyl groups and two ethoxy groups — releases ethanol on hydrolysis.
