Methylphenyldimethoxysilane

Phenyl functional silane / siloxane intermediate. Phenyl substitution raises the refractive index, thermal stability and glass transition of the resulting silicone resin, which is why these building blocks are used to make optically clear, high-temperature silicone systems. Difunctional, one phenyl and one methyl group on silicon, with two methoxy groups — lower phenyl content than the diphenyl grades, for a lower refractive index and lower cost.
