Alkyl alkoxy silane used as a surface modifier and coupling agent. The cyclic cyclohexyl ring gives good hydrolytic stability and hydrophobicity, distinct from the linear-chain alkyl silanes already in the range, and is used in silicate and silicone polymer synthesis as well as adhesion promotion.
