Description

Alkyl alkoxy silane used as a surface modifier and hydrophobing agent. The octyl chain is the industry reference for masonry water repellency: long enough for durable hydrophobicity, short enough to penetrate concrete. Releases ethanol on hydrolysis; slower reacting and preferred where methanol must be avoided.
