Alkyl alkoxy silane used as a surface modifier and coupling agent, the triethoxy analog of the trimethoxy propylsilane already in the range. Releases ethanol rather than methanol on hydrolysis, useful where methanol must be avoided, and is used as a grafting agent for functionalizing mineral and metal-oxide surfaces.
