Alkyl alkoxy silane used as a surface modifier and coupling agent. The short propyl chain gives less hydrophobic effect than the longer-chain members of the family, and the grade is also used as a neutral-cure crosslinker for silanol-terminated PDMS. Releases methanol on hydrolysis.
